Cave Vineyard

Cave Vineyard
21124 Cave Rd
Ste. Genevieve, MO

Cave Rock Red
Cave Rock White

Wines Tasted:
White Chambourcin (a little too dry)
Grotto Bianco (floral smell, semi-sweet)
Traminette 2009 (smells like rose and orange)
Cave Rock White (nice and sweet with apricot, hard to describe)
Cave Rock Red (complex with spice, oak, and fruit)

$5 to taste and you get a free glass. This is one of my favorite places to go. The real attraction of this winery is that they have an old saltpeter cave on the property. You can go into the cave with your wine and snacks and hang out. If you are lucky, you may even see bats sleeping in the cave!bats 3

If you aren’t into caves but for some reason you came to Cave Winery, you can enjoy their hummingbird feeder by the tasting room.hummingbirds
