Favorite: Muscat Blanc
2012 Malbec – smells acidic and oaky, tastes oaky, very full-bodied. Stays with you a long time.
2014 Sauvignon Blanc – very pale color like a warm white LED, smells like sour apple. Very sour and tart, hard hitting. Makes you pucker.
2012 Gewurztraminer – smells like peach and/or citrus, smooth and fruity
2013 Muscat Blanc – smells like lemon, honey, and pineapple, tastes of pineapple and mango. Very smooth.
Chardonnay – a little metal taste, lemony with a bite. Smells like bread.
The wines are grown at Cathedral Mountain Vineyyard, which is at a 4500 ft elevation and not very hospitable to grapes (Texas generally isn’t). So they also buy some grapes from California. Every label has a chair on it, and the more plush the chair, the more plush the wine. They are only sold in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Tasting was $9, very generous pours.
